Beach Please!!!

Posted by Lisa at 9:55 AM 0 comments
It's really hard to believe that a little over a year ago I started this blog and in one of my blogs I posted a cake that I did for a very good friend of mine, Michelle...  Well a year has past and my dear friend has turned 40 this year (July, I'm a little late at posting).  Wow!!! that's so hard to believe.  At least it is for me.

When Michelle's husband, Sebastian asked me to help put the girly touch on Michelle's 40th Birthday Party I was so excited, because if there is ever someone who deserves it, that would be Michelle.

Now you must keep in mind, it's been 40 some days with over 100 degree weather here in Texas and no one wants to be outside.  Michelle has had a lot go on this year in her life and all she wanted was just a peaceful day at the beach...LOL

So the peaceful day at the beach turned in to a Laua at the House....  Happy Birthday My Friend

A Princess for the Day, but really a Princess Every Day!

Back in September, my little Hanna, turned four years old.  Hanna had originally said she wanted to have a pool party for her birthday.  With it being in September, the pool was a little cold, so we decided we would throw her a party and have it out by the pool.  And then the rain fell......

No way were we going to let it rain on her day, so Plan B went into action.  Everything was moved inside.

The table centerpiece, was a horse and carriage, thanks to a wonderful friend.  Each of the place settings were set with a tiara or crown, a princess wand or sword, a ring and a glass slipper.

We also set up a craft table for everyone to enjoy....

Look Mommy (background) and Aunt Ashley enjoying all the crafts...

And a Castle cake for the Princess...

Hanna I hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as your Nana enjoyed putting it all together for you.  You are my Princess and will always be my Princess.  I love you Hanna!!!!!

Ladybugs for the Twins

Posted by Lisa at 8:47 PM 0 comments
Just wanted to share a picture of my very first Ladybug cakes that I made for a birthday party this past Saturday for two twin girls.  Their Mom had tried very hard to make them and it just wasn't working out.  So two days before their party Dad contacted me and asked if I could make them.  I had so much fun doing these cakes.

Squishy Turns One!

Posted by Lisa at 12:23 PM 0 comments
It's really hard to believe that on last Friday, August 27, 2010, Leah and Jason's little miracle baby "Bristol" turned one.  We all know that the "1st Birthday" is all about the parents and grandparents celebrating that they survived the first year...the sleepless nights, earaches, leaving them at daycare for the first time, the many missed days of work due to illness and the list could go on and on.  It definitely is a milestone and we all cherish it.

Three months ago, Leah asked me to help her with the celebration of Bristol's big day.  After deciding on the theme I went to work on a little inspiration.

Leah fell in love and wanted it all...LOL.  As you can see it wasn't the tradional Red and Black Ladybug, but more of a girly girl Ladybug of hot pinks and lime greens.  Now how much fun is that???  Talk about putting a smile on the face..... Who wouldn't love it?

So first things first - we had to find the perfect outfit for "Little Squishy" (as her mom calls her).   Esty Shops here we come.  We found it!!!  Pink and Green Ladybug Tutu - Perfect!  The invitations another Esty find (SLW Designs).

                                                                    Just adorable!

So to celebrate the day a Sweets Table was designed.  Cupcakes, marshmellow pops, strawberry malt balls, strawberry lemonaide, green apples, pink marshmellows, green apple rings and her very own smash cake.

Bristol may never remember anything about that day but with all that camera snapping she will have pictures to look back on and know that Mom and Dad were very proud.  Thank you Leah and Jason for letting me be a part of your little girl's Big Day!  Raegan, thank you for being such a "Good Helper".  I truly enjoyed it and May God Bless you both.

Birthday Celebrations!!!!

I'm such a lucky girl....I have two friends who are celebrating their birthday today.  And then at the end of the week, I have another friend celebrating her birthday.

"Leo's are born fortunate.  Charismatic and positive-thinking they attract not only an abundance of friends and opportunities, but manage to survive life's stormy times with style and good humour."

I would definitely say these three ladies are true Leo's....

Happy Birthday Ladies!!!!

Today's Post will be a little something for Shauna's Birthday.....
